Hi mg

To answer your question concerning transportation...when I was younger I hitch-hiked everywhere...across the US and Canada several times...even hitch-hiked the seven miles to work everyday at one job...
if it was close...within a few miles I'd walk...and I had no shortage of friends with cars and bikes to give me rides...

now...I mostly use public transportation...and cabs.

Eg ;)

Things you wanted to be?

Honestly, I've never been very ambitious...never had that extreme longing for anything except perhaps knowledge...
eg. I've never owned a car...never even had the desire for one...everyone seemed to go ga-ga over their first car...I never identified with any of the common or normal things...

so...as far as dreams go...I've never really had any...

I suppose...if I were to pick a dream...I'd like to have enough money that I could spend the rest of my life back in study...write a few manuscripts on a variety of topics...and leave a legacy behind for my children...

I suppose that is the ultimate goal for us all...to be remembered after we've passed...to leave something substantial behind that will outlive our bodies and the memories of those we love....

to have made our life count for something.

Hi mg

I changed the time date stamp...it was set at Los Angeles time...thanks for making that suggestion!

Eg ;)

Well :D

I work out of my home so...from here I see the TV ( turned down ) still on my kids station...on my primary desk that I'm sitting at there is a pack of cigs, a lighter, computer, two printers, coffee, water, briefcase on my file cabinet, and a bristle board on the wall in front...to my left there is my desk sidebar stacked with faxes and papers, my phone, fax, a shelf, and a poster of Martin Luther King by APA that says

" We are prone to judge success by the index of our salaries or the size of our automobiles,
rather than by the quality of our service and relationship to humanity. "

I try to remember that every time I get paid :D Behind me is a futon, a large shelf with a whole lot of junk on it, and a fan...to my left is another bulletin board on the wall, another desk/table, and approximately 500 tapes containing about 850 movies from 1990 till now sitting on four stacked shelving units, and my umbrella hanging from the doorknob.

And there are 16 photos of my kids on the walls.

Why do my posts always go ' under ' the last post ?????????

Bunny's

Advice...DON"T! :D unless you have the time to clean them every day they stink...unless you have them outside your house will smell worse than a chicken coop.

my advice...painted turtles...kids love them...easy as fish to take care of...keep them in an aquarium/terrarium...some rocks, gravel, water...they're not much bigger than silver dollar ( about twice the size )...they live a longgggggggg time...they can take them outside to play with ( you can't do that with fish :D )...don't cost an arm and a leg...great pet for kids...and they don't smell any worse than a goldfish.

Age of Empires III demo ready and waiting

RUMOUR CONTROL HAS gone into overdrive surrounding upcoming and much anticipated RTS Age of Empires III with the demo reportedly finished and simply awaiting the go-ahead from the publisher.

According to this AoE Heaven Games forum post the demo is done, weighing in at approximately 375MB and containing two single player scenarios, two random maps and two civilizations to play.

A multiplayer demo may follow, but for now this offering looks set to be single player only. The game is due in October, and this demo being ready for release would seem to back up the fact that developer Ensemble will deliver on time. For now all we can do is wait for the publisher to get its marketing socks on to release the demo.
