Advice...DON"T! :D unless you have the time to clean them every day they stink...unless you have them outside your house will smell worse than a chicken coop.my advice...painted turtles...kids love them...easy as fish to take care of...keep them in an aquarium/terrarium...some rocks, gravel, water...they're not much bigger than silver dollar ( about twice the size )...they live a longgggggggg time...they can take them outside to play with ( you can't do that with fish :D )...don't cost an arm and a leg...great pet for kids...and they don't smell any worse than a goldfish.
